‘What If’ Code Veronica X Alternate Universe Drabble Ending Part 1/2
((I might come back and finish the in between parts of the story if I have time but I really wanna cut to the chase in case I actually don’t have time to finish it. I had the ending in my head for months and I gotta get it out.
Basically after the events in Code Veronica, Wolfpack, Chris, and Claire bring down Umbrella through the information they all gathered together. They leak this information out to the public and as an omgimsorrydonttellmom from the government they are handsomely rewarded for their ‘bravery’.))
The television flickered on, going straight to a news report that was buzzing all over the American nation about the downfall of the Umbrella Corporation. After much fighting in courts, hush hush secrets, and hopefully kept promises, Umbrella was finally brought down in 2002, three years after the events in Raccoon City and Rockfort Island. A plain looking news lady appeared on the television, somewhere in D.C.
”…In other news, after a bioweapon scandal in Umbrella Corporation was brought to the public eye, the U.S. Government has issued a suspension of business decree, bankrupting and closing the corrupt organization. The people responsible for bringing this corruption to public attention: Chris Redfield, former S.T.A.R.S. member and his sister, Claire Redfield, have confirmed all claims against Umbrella. The evidence presented against them were reinforced by Wolfpack, a formerly alleged terrorist group lead by Codename: Lupo, also known as Karena Lesproux. Karena Lesproux, along with her associates, have been given full presidential pardons and the Congressional Gold medal, the highest award a civilian can receive. More on this at eleven…”
Afterwards, Wolfpack wasn’t too sure what to do.
So where are they now?
Karena Lesproux (Lupo) knew she had to make sure her kids were alright under the care she left them in, hidden away from Umbrella’s grasp. Months later, she took on freelance work to pay for family expenses.
The military offered Hector Hivers (Beltway) a job again, but this time as an officer teaching demolitions classes. Through his connections he offered Lupo a mercenary job or two to help with the family, but she usually declined them. First Lieutenant Hivers was stationed back in Peurto Rico.
Vladimir Bodrovski (Spectre) became a counter-intelligence agent when the CIA realized he’d be an invaluable asset. Ever since he took the job, certain crime syndicate leaders have been reported ‘missing’ or dead. Agent Spectre may or may not be responsible for these sudden occurrences and findings.
When Michaela Schneider (Bertha) realized she was still attached to a more shady part of life, Spectre recommended her for work in his branch for ‘information extraction’. Dr. Schneider has become a name to be feared by any who cross her employers.
Christine Yamata (Four Eyes) realized her potential behind all she has learned when fighting with and against Umbrella. Professor Yamata is well respected by Universities everywhere.
When Vector was last seen, the only thing Wolfpack heard from him was something about unfinished business with his mentor. Vector then disappeared literally and figuratively and is yet to be heard from.
